EASE Holdings BV has secured $9.5 million in additional equity funding from US-based AAFC Group to expand its medical equipment business in South Africa and Ghana.
The investment brings the Netherlands-headquartered company’s total equity funding to $24 million, supporting its rollout of advanced diagnostic and treatment technology.
Access Without Outright Ownership
EASE provides hospitals, clinics and specialist practices with equipment through pay-per-use and managed-service arrangements. These include maintenance, support and upgrades, reducing the upfront capital needed to access costly machines.
Its target technologies include MRI, CT and PET-CT scanners, surgical robots and radiotherapy systems.
South Africa Expansion Planned for 2027
The company expects at least $20 million in new South African installations during 2027, supported by banking and equipment manufacturing partners.
Existing deployments include surgical robots in KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga and a PET-CT scanner in Rustenburg. In Ghana, EASE has installed an MRI scanner in Akwatia and CT scanners in Accra.
Keeping Pace With Medical Innovation
EASE says the additional equity, alongside its debt facilities, will support access to increasingly AI-enhanced medical devices. The company is also assessing opportunities in India, Morocco and Malaysia.
