Apple Reopens Iconic Ginza Store to Thousands of Excited Customers

Apple marked a historic milestone on Friday with the grand reopening of its legendary Apple Ginza store, drawing thousands of customers to Tokyo’s bustling Ginza district.

A Return to Where It All Began

First opened in 2003 as Apple’s very first retail store outside the United States, Apple Ginza has long held a special place in the company’s global story. The reimagined four-story space honors that legacy while embracing the future with a sleek new design and immersive customer experience.

Latest Apple Innovations on Display

Shoppers at Apple Ginza can now explore the full lineup of Apple’s newest products, including the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The store also features the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch SE 3, and AirPods Pro 3, alongside a range of accessories such as the iPhone Air Bumper, MagSafe-enabled iPhone Air Case, and the all-new Crossbody Strap.

To celebrate the reopening, customers can receive an exclusive special-edition Apple Gift Card, available only at Apple Ginza for a limited time.

Spotlight on Today at Apple

As part of its reopening celebrations, Apple Ginza is debuting a special Today at Apple Spotlight session in collaboration with Japanese supergroup Number_i. The session will explore Spatial Audio and spatial video through their single “U.M.A.” and is currently available only at the Ginza store. Beginning October 11, the program will expand to Apple Stores across Japan. Customers can sign up for sessions at apple.com/jp/today/ginza.

A Celebration of Innovation and Culture

The reopening underscores Apple’s enduring connection with Japan, blending local culture with world-class innovation. For many Tokyoites and international visitors alike, Apple Ginza is not just a store — it is a symbol of creativity, technology, and community in one of the world’s most vibrant districts.
