Apple announced AirPods Pro 3, a major leap forward for the world’s most popular wireless in-ear headphones, delivering groundbreaking features including a redesigned fit, industry-leading Active Noise Cancellation, heart rate sensing for workouts, and Live Translation powered by Apple Intelligence.

World’s Best In-Ear Active Noise Cancellation
AirPods Pro 3 feature an all-new multiport acoustic architecture that delivers a wider soundstage, enhanced bass, and crystal-clear vocals. Apple says the new ANC removes up to twice as much noise as AirPods Pro 2 and four times more than the first-generation AirPods Pro — perfect for commuting, work, or simply relaxing.
Adaptive Transparency also gets an upgrade, making voices and surroundings sound more natural when users need to stay aware.
Redesigned for Comfort and Stability
Apple re-engineered the internal architecture of AirPods Pro 3 to create a smaller, more ergonomic shape that improves stability during everyday wear and high-intensity workouts. Five sizes of foam-infused ear tips — including a new XXS option — provide a secure, customizable fit.
AirPods Pro 3 are IP57-rated for sweat and water resistance, making them ideal for running, HIIT sessions, or outdoor use in unpredictable weather.
Workout-Ready with Heart Rate Tracking
For the first time, AirPods feature an integrated heart rate sensor that works seamlessly with the Fitness app on iPhone. Users can track heart rate, calories burned, and progress on their Move ring during over 50 workout types.
With Apple’s Workout Buddy, powered by on-device Apple Intelligence, users receive real-time motivational feedback based on their fitness history and goals. Fitness+ subscribers will see live heart rate and calorie metrics onscreen during sessions.
Live Translation with Apple Intelligence
AirPods Pro 3 bring Live Translation to in-ear audio, enabling users to hold natural, face-to-face conversations across multiple languages. The feature supports English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish at launch, with Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese coming later this year.
When paired with iPhone, translations can be displayed onscreen for more interactive conversations.
Better Battery, Better for the Planet
AirPods Pro 3 offer up to eight hours of listening time with ANC on — a 33% increase over the previous generation — and are built with sustainability in mind. They feature 40% recycled content, including 100% recycled cobalt in the battery and 65% recycled plastic in the case.
Packaging is fully fiber-based and recyclable as part of Apple’s Apple 2030 carbon-neutral initiative.
Pricing and Availability
AirPods Pro 3 are available for pre-order today in over 50 countries and regions, with in-store availability beginning Friday, September 19. Pricing starts at $249 (U.S.).
New customers can receive three months free of Apple Music and Apple Fitness+ with purchase. AppleCare+ and AppleCare One options are available for additional coverage, including protection from accidental damage, theft, and battery replacement.
