Apple Expands Apple Intelligence to More Languages

Apple has announced a significant expansion of its groundbreaking Apple Intelligence system, bringing powerful new AI features to more users around the world. Starting with the release of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4, Apple Intelligence now supports additional languages and is rolling out to new global regions — including, for the first time, the European Union.

The update introduces support for French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. Localized English versions for Singapore and India are also now available, reflecting Apple’s push to make its AI features more accessible and culturally relevant worldwide.

In a landmark development, Apple Intelligence is now available to iPhone and iPad users in the EU, a move that marks Apple’s ongoing compliance with the region’s strict data privacy standards. Additionally, Apple Intelligence makes its debut on a new platform: the Apple Vision Pro. Users in the U.S. can now leverage an initial set of Apple Intelligence features in Vision Pro using U.S. English.

Vision Pro users can access a suite of enhanced tools, including:

  • Writing Tools that allow proofreading, rewriting, and summarization of text

  • ChatGPT-powered composition within Writing Tools

  • Image Playground, which introduces new visual expression capabilities including a new Sketch style for academic-level visuals

  • Genmoji, a feature that lets users create personalized emojis on demand

Beyond Vision Pro, Apple is also adding new AI-powered capabilities across devices. These include:

  • Priority Notifications, helping users focus on time-sensitive updates

  • The ability to create a memory movie on Mac simply by typing a description

  • The Sketch style in Image Playground, which offers highly detailed and academic-quality visual outputs

Apple emphasized that privacy remains central to Apple Intelligence. Most processing happens directly on-device, and for tasks requiring more advanced models, Apple’s Private Cloud Compute ensures that even cloud-based operations maintain the rigorous security and privacy standards users expect from Apple.

This expansion further positions Apple as a leader in responsible AI development, combining intelligent, practical features with industry-leading privacy protections.
