Apple has officially announced the return of its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), set to take place from June 9 to 13, 2025. The highly anticipated event will once again be held entirely online and free for all developers worldwide, with a limited in-person celebration at Apple Park on opening day.
WWDC25 promises a deep dive into the latest advancements in Apple’s software platforms, offering developers around the globe a week of innovation, learning, and direct engagement with Apple experts. Attendees can expect a robust schedule of video sessions, online labs, and access to tools, frameworks, and technologies that power platforms like iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS, and tvOS.
“We’re excited to mark another incredible year of WWDC with our global developer community,”
said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations.
“We can’t wait to share the latest tools and technologies that will empower developers and help them continue to innovate.”
The online event will be streamed through the Apple Developer app, Apple Developer website, and Apple Developer YouTube channel, ensuring accessibility for participants across the world.
The week kicks off with a Keynote address and a Platforms State of the Union, both of which will be available to stream live and on demand.
In addition to the virtual experience, a special in-person event on June 9 at Apple Park will give select developers and students the opportunity to watch the Keynote, engage with Apple engineers in group and one-on-one sessions, and participate in unique activities. Attendance for the Apple Park experience will be limited, with application details available on the WWDC25 website.
Apple also reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing young talent through its Swift Student Challenge. Applicants will be notified of their results on March 27, with 50 Distinguished Winners earning an exclusive three-day trip to Cupertino to deepen their learning and connect with Apple’s developer community.
As always, Apple will release further details on WWDC25 in the coming weeks through its developer platforms.
