Apple has unveiled Apple Creator Studio, a new all-in-one subscription that brings together the company’s most powerful creative apps for video, music, imaging, and productivity, enhanced by intelligent, privacy-first AI features. The new offering is designed to give creators studio-grade tools across Mac, iPad, and iPhone in a single, accessible package.
A Single Subscription for Pro-Level Creativity
Apple Creator Studio combines Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage, alongside new intelligent features and premium content in Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and later Freeform. The suite aims to streamline creative workflows for professionals and emerging creators alike—spanning video editing, music production, creative imaging, and visual productivity.
The subscription launches on January 28 via the App Store, priced at $12.99 per month or $129 per year, with a one-month free trial. Students and educators can subscribe for $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year.
Smarter, Faster Video Editing with Final Cut Pro
Final Cut Pro for Mac and iPad introduces new AI-driven tools designed to speed up complex editing workflows:
-
Transcript Search lets editors find soundbites by typing phrases to instantly locate exact or related moments in footage.
-
Visual Search enables creators to search across clips by objects or actions, dramatically reducing time spent scrubbing timelines.
-
Beat Detection, powered by Logic Pro AI models, visually maps musical beats and bars directly in the timeline, making rhythm-based edits faster and more precise.
-
Montage Maker on iPad uses AI to automatically assemble dynamic edits from the best moments in footage, with options for auto-cropping and music-syncing for social formats.
Subscribers also gain access to Motion for advanced 2D and 3D motion graphics and Compressor for customized output and distribution.
AI-Enhanced Music Creation in Logic Pro
Logic Pro for Mac and iPad receives a major intelligence upgrade focused on inspiration and speed:
-
Synth Player, an AI Session Player, generates realistic synth and bass performances that creators can shape using intuitive controls.
-
Chord ID analyzes audio or MIDI recordings to instantly create usable chord progressions, eliminating manual transcription.
-
A refreshed Sound Library adds hundreds of royalty-free loops, samples, and Producer Packs.
-
Natural language search in the Sound Browser allows creators to describe sounds in plain English to find matching or complementary loops.
Apple Creator Studio also includes MainStage, enabling live performers to bring studio sounds directly to the stage with reliable, fast setups.
Pixelmator Pro Arrives on iPad
For the first time, Pixelmator Pro expands beyond Mac to iPad, offering a touch-optimized, Apple Pencil-powered creative imaging experience. Built for Apple silicon and iPadOS, it features:
-
Desktop-class layers, masks, and smart selection tools
-
AI-powered features like Super Resolution, Deband, and Auto Crop
-
Full Apple Pencil support with pressure-sensitive brushes and precision controls
Subscribers also gain access to a new Warp tool and premium, Warp-powered mockups across Mac and iPad.
Visual Productivity Gets an AI Boost
Apple’s productivity apps—Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and Freeform—receive premium templates, curated content via a new Content Hub, and intelligent features that accelerate creative output:
-
Text-to-image creation and advanced image editing using generative models
-
AI-assisted presentation drafts and presenter notes in Keynote (beta)
-
Formula generation and Magic Fill pattern recognition in Numbers
These apps remain free for all users, with additional features unlocked through the Apple Creator Studio subscription.
Privacy-First Intelligence Across Devices
Apple emphasized that many intelligent features run on-device, leveraging Apple silicon to deliver performance while protecting user privacy. Some advanced capabilities require Apple Intelligence-capable hardware, with clear device compatibility outlined across Mac, iPad, and iPhone.
Flexible Access for Creators
In addition to the subscription, creators can still purchase one-time Mac licenses for apps like Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro. Family Sharing allows up to six members to share a single Apple Creator Studio subscription.
A New Creative Ecosystem
“Apple Creator Studio is a great value that enables creators of all types to pursue their craft and grow their skills,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “There’s never been a more flexible and accessible way to get started with such a powerful collection of creative apps.”
