Polokwane Municipality Launches MyPolokwane Citizen App

In a significant step towards modernising urban governance, the Polokwane Municipality has officially launched the MyPolokwane Citizen App, a state-of-the-art platform designed to streamline communication between residents and local government.

Developed in partnership with WIB Group, an award-winning technology firm specialising in Smart City solutions, the app is set to transform service delivery by enabling faster response times and more efficient municipal operations.

WIB Group’s Urban View solution, which forms the backbone of the app, has already demonstrated a 50% increase in service efficiency in previous implementations, particularly in addressing urgent issues such as power and water outages.

The MyPolokwane Citizen App offers residents a user-friendly platform to report service delivery issues in real time, with the added ability to attach images for greater accuracy. This marks a significant shift in municipal engagement, allowing citizens to actively participate in local governance without the frustration of prolonged bureaucratic processes.
