UberEats Hosts Nationwide Courier Appreciation Events

UberEats held a series of courier appreciation  events across South Africa, celebrating the hard work, commitment, and  achievements of delivery people who keep communities connected and  ensure smooth delivery services every day.

Events took place in  Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Polokwane and  Bloemfontein, where high-performing delivery people were recognized and  awarded for their dedication over the past year, as well as for their lifetime  contributions on the UberEats platform.

UberEats recognizes the essential role that delivery people play in its  ecosystem and is committed to acknowledging their dedication as they work  tirelessly to meet the needs of customers and partner restaurants alike. The  events offered an opportunity for UberEats to say thank you to delivery  people, who embody the spirit of safety, resilience, dedication, and service.

Beyond recognizing top performers, UberEats underscored its commitment  to enhancing earning opportunities, brand visibility, and partner growth  through the addition of over 240 new stores across the country.

“We are immensely grateful to each and every delivery person who helps  make UberEats what it is today,”

said Cassie Jaganyi, Head of Communications  at Uber South Africa.

“These events are our way of celebrating the incredible  efforts of our delivery people who have consistently gone above and beyond,  delivering quality service, day in and day out. This is just one of the ways we  show appreciation for the people behind each delivery, who are crucial to the  UberEats experience.”

The appreciation events awarded delivery people with a range of prizes,  celebrating those who have shown exemplary performance in reliability,  service quality, and customer satisfaction.

Each gathering fostered a sense of  community, providing an opportunity for UberEats to personally thank them  for their invaluable contributions.

UberEats looks forward to strengthening its partnerships with delivery people,  helping them achieve meaningful earnings, and empowering local retailers by  extending the reach and visibility of their offerings.
