Meet the ARki app founder Sahar Darvishani-Fikouhi

ARki app Founder Sahar Darvishani-Fikouhi began her career as an architect, then completed a masters degree in Computational Design with a focus on AR.

Her app, ARki, is an AR platform that allows architects, engineers, and real estate developers to share 3D data so they can communicate the design journey with clarity.

Sahar attended the Apple Entrepreneur Camp and she is listed as one of the inspiring alumni the company has had the pleasure of working with.

Fikouhi, who is in her midthirties and based in London, wanted to address the seemingly inevitable gap she’d experienced between the information available about a new building and which of it was actually relevant.

“We were still doing stuff like 3D-printing models directly from the computer, straight out of the 3D printer,”

she says in an interview with Apple.

“But by the time it was printed you were already on another version of the plans.”

She adds.

ARki allows instant Augmented Reality experiences, so that you can view, share and communicate design with ease!

ARki supports .FBX files exported from most 3d softwares including 3dsmax, Maya, Blender, Microstation, Sketchup, Archicad, Rhino, Cinema4D, Revit and more.

Darf Design is an award winning Interactive Design studio located in London.

The studio was founded by Sahar Fikouhi in 2012, after having worked for several architectural design studios including Foster and Partners.

Today the studio is a mix of developers, designers and engineers, all working together to make revolutionary augmented reality experiences.

Since its inception, the studio has successfully published augmented reality applications for architectural and gaming industries, and continually focused on creating imaginative spaces of play and interaction using digital technology, game design and installation art.
