Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 3 Adds iPhone Support

Samsung has announced the Galaxy SmartTag 3, bringing iPhone compatibility to its tracking accessory range for the first time. The update allows Galaxy and iOS users to access core finding and sharing features through SmartThings Find.

Easier Sharing Across Devices

The change could make sharing tagged belongings more convenient for households using different phones. Someone borrowing a suitcase, for example, can check its location from a supported iPhone.

However, support differs between platforms. Samsung says Compass View, Ring Phone and Left Behind Alert are unavailable on iOS.

Smaller Design, Longer Battery Life

The tracker is approximately 35% smaller by volume and 33% lighter than its predecessor. Samsung claims battery life of up to 550 days under standard use, extending to 790 days in Power Saving Mode, which restricts some features. Actual performance will vary.

Alerts for Moving Belongings

New features include notifications when tagged items enter or leave a designated area, movement alerts and location history. Tracking beyond the phone’s direct range relies on participating devices in Samsung’s Galaxy Find Network.

Launch Begins in October

Sales begin in South Korea on 7 October 2026. The Verge reports a US launch in early November, priced at $29.99 for one tracker or $99.99 for four.
