Wairimu Gachara is driving inclusive growth through tech at Microsoft

Wairimu Gachara has an MBA in Strategy and Innovation from the IE Business School, Madrid, as she is the business applications customer success lead at Microsoft Tech for Social Impact in Africa.

Wairimu is passionate about helping businesses digitally transform with the right strategy, support, and technology to unlock new ways of working.

As the customer success lead for business application within Tech for Social Impact she aims to accelerate digital transformation across nonprofits in Africa, so they can have a greater impact on the world’s most critical social issues.

This is achieved by bringing together the best of Philanthropic work, technology and commercial ecosystem to holistically serve nonprofits.

Previously, Wairimu served as a business transformation associate in Ethiopia’s first modern cash and carry wholesaler of FMCG (ALLE!) in collaboration with retail consultant A.T Kearney, where she led the operations transformation from a technology and process perspective.

Prior to that she was a senior associate at Deloitte East Africa, where she led field teams in financial audit engagement, using data to monitor and report the customer’s business operations assisting them in financial planning and reporting for both board level and statutory.
