Ayanda Mzondeki is a businesswoman driven by the need to empower other businesswoman

Ayanda is a mother of two and a driven businesswoman who believes in lifelong learning, mentorships- seeking and providing support to other women in business. Ayanda enrolled for a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in the year 2000 and eventually joined the industry in 2004 as a recruiter.

Ayanda soon realized that this was her passion and over the years that followed; she grew her knowledge, experience and drive to create a business that would cater to what she believed was missing and could be improved upon.

Ayanda then co-founded Liyema Consulting, where she occupied the position of Managing Director. The company has over the years grown to be a formidable force in the industry and boasts a number of local and international clients, including medium-sized companies and parastatals.

She is also an Executive Director of AWiT (African Women in Corporate Technology), which is a product of IBOM LLC and was born out of a desire to connect, educate and empower women who are determined to advance their tech careers. AWiT is dedicated to providing opportunities and a safe space for women to grow and lead in the tech space.

Ayanda chairs WEConnect International SA WBE Council, a global network that connects women-owned businesses to qualified buyers around the world and is also a Director of Umbuthano Ventures, a company that offers innovative drinking water solutions.

Lastly, Ayanda is one of the Directors of Dazzel Angels, a female-focused angel fund, that is led and funded by experienced businesswomen.

Ayanda also Graduated from the Goldman Sachs-GIBS 10 000 Women Certification Programme in 2014 and became a member of the EY Winning Women alumni in 2016.
