Meta Introduces Meta One Subscriptions Across Apps

Meta has introduced Meta One, a subscription offering that brings additional creative features, expanded AI usage and professional tools to Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI.

Announced on 15 September, the service includes plans for individuals, creators and businesses. Meta says the core experience across its apps will remain free.

Subscribers can choose individual app plans or bundles. Published monthly prices start at US$2.99 for WhatsApp Plus and US$3.99 each for Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus. The Core bundle costs US$7.99, while Premium is priced at US$19.99.

The bundles combine app customisation features with higher limits for AI tools, including image and video generation. Creator and business packages start at US$14.99 monthly, with higher tiers offering features such as scheduling, exportable analytics and additional customer-response capacity through Meta Business Agent.

Meta reported 15 million subscriptions and trials across the offering at the announcement, with more than 50 features launched.

The company says rollout is gradual, and pricing, benefits and availability vary by region, app and account. South African users will therefore need to check the options displayed in their accounts for applicable local pricing.
