Samsung and Google Team Up to Bring Google Photos

Experience Your Memories on the Big Screen

Samsung Electronics announced a partnership with Google to integrate Google Photos directly into Samsung TVs, offering users a seamless way to enjoy personal memories — from family moments and hobbies to travel adventures — in an immersive, cinematic format.

“Samsung TVs have always brought people together, and bringing Google Photos to the big screen makes that experience even more personal,”

said Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Customer Experience Team at Samsung’s Visual Display Business.

“Through this partnership, we help users rediscover and relive cherished moments by bringing to light the stories behind their photos — right from the comfort of their living room.”

Reliving Memories Made Simple

The planned integration will allow Samsung TV users to access their Google Photos libraries easily. Photos and videos captured on mobile devices will appear seamlessly on the TV, providing a larger, more detailed view for families and friends to enjoy together.

Users can explore curated memories organized by people, places, and meaningful moments, with Google Photos working alongside Samsung’s Vision AI Companion (VAC) to highlight stories in engaging and contextually relevant ways. Through features like Daily+ and Daily Board, memories will surface throughout the day, greeting users with meaningful moments automatically.

Setting up the integration is simple: a Google Account login is all it takes for personal photos to appear instantly on Samsung TVs.

Three Ways to Rediscover Your Memories

Samsung and Google Photos are introducing a phased rollout of features throughout 2026:

  • Memories (Early 2026): Curated stories based on people, locations, and special moments will appear exclusively on Samsung TVs for six months.

  • Create with AI (Later 2026): Users can apply themed templates powered by Google DeepMind’s Nano Banana model, transform photo styles, or convert still images into short videos, adding creativity to personal collections.

  • Personalized Results (Later 2026): Related photos will be displayed in slideshows based on topics, locations, or content themes such as “Paris,” “ocean,” or “hiking.”

A Cinematic Experience in the Living Room

The integration aims to transform Samsung TVs into a cinematic photo gallery, turning personal libraries into interactive spaces for exploring, creating, and reliving memories.

“Google Photos is a home for people’s photos and videos, helping them organize and bring their memories to life,”

said Shimrit Ben-Yair, Vice President of Google Photos and Google One.

“We’re excited to bring Google Photos to Samsung TVs — helping people enjoy their favorite photos on a larger screen and reconnect with their memories in new ways.”
