Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC Announces Winners

Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC has unveiled the winners of its highly anticipated Cohort 4 Standard Chartered Women in Tech Incubator program. The initiative, which underscores the bank’s commitment to promoting diversity in technology and entrepreneurship, has awarded a total of GHC 936,000 in grants to six exceptional female-led businesses.

  • DrDoGood
  • AppCyclers
  • FreshLine Post Harvest Solutions

This year’s recipients were selected for their innovative approaches and potential to impact the tech landscape in Ghana. The program, which is run in partnership with Ashesi University’s Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (AU-GCIC), aims to foster female entrepreneurship by providing comprehensive support that includes personalized business advisory services, mentorship, and financial grants.

The Standard Chartered Women in Tech Incubator (SCWIT) Program also offers participants access to skills development masterclasses and the high-value Mini MBA program curated by AU-GCIC. This robust support system is designed to equip female entrepreneurs with essential skills and knowledge to excel in the dynamic tech-enabled business environment.

Since its inception in Ghana in November 2020, the SCWIT Incubator has supported 54 female-owned businesses across various sectors. Notably, 15 of these businesses have received grants of $10,000 each to facilitate their growth and expansion.
