Meta has officially unveiled its latest generation of AI-powered smart glasses, introducing a new wearable lineup developed in partnership with EssilorLuxottica that combines advanced artificial intelligence with fashion-forward design.
Building on the success of its existing smart glasses portfolio, Meta says the new Meta Glasses are designed to become an all-day AI companion, allowing users to access hands-free assistance, capture content, listen to music, make calls, and interact with the world through AI-powered features.
Starting at $299, the new range launches with 26 different styles, offering a variety of frame shapes, colours and lens options, including compatibility with prescription lenses.
Three Distinct Styles
The collection introduces three new frame designs tailored to different personalities and occasions.
The Meta Adventurer features a timeless rectangular silhouette available in Standard and Large sizes, while the Meta Fury offers a bolder, more expressive design. Completing the lineup is the Meta Glasses by Kylie, a slim oval frame created in collaboration with beauty entrepreneur and media personality Kylie Jenner, inspired by her signature style.
Meta says the extensive range of colours and lens combinations allows customers to choose a pair that best matches their individual look.
AI at the Centre of the Experience
The biggest leap comes from the integration of Meta AI powered by Muse Spark, making the glasses the first in Meta’s lineup to ship with the company’s latest AI model from day one.
Muse Spark, developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs, introduces enhanced multimodal AI capabilities, allowing the glasses to better understand what users are looking at while delivering more intelligent responses and contextual assistance.
Users can ask the AI about nearby restaurants, sports scores, calendar reminders or everyday tasks without needing to reach for their smartphones.
The glasses feature a dedicated action button that instantly activates Meta AI or can be customised to launch preferred functions.
Designed for Everyday Use
Beyond AI, Meta has focused heavily on practicality.
The glasses include open-ear speakers that allow users to enjoy music, podcasts, audiobooks and phone calls while remaining aware of their surroundings. An upgraded multi-microphone system improves voice clarity by reducing wind noise during calls and voice commands.
Users can also capture photos and videos completely hands-free, while new Dynamic Photo technology automatically takes multiple frames before recommending the best image.
Battery life has also received a boost, with the glasses offering more than eight hours of use on a single charge, while the portable charging case extends total battery life to approximately 40 hours.
More Features on the Way
Meta confirmed several new software features are already in development.
Pedestrian turn-by-turn navigation will soon arrive for display-free smart glasses, enabling users to receive walking directions without looking at a phone.
The company is also expanding live translation support by adding 14 new languages, including Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi and Korean, making real-time multilingual conversations more accessible.
Global Rollout Begins
The new Meta Glasses are available immediately in selected international markets through Meta’s online store and major retail partners, including Best Buy, Amazon, LensCrafters and Sunglass Hut.
With AI rapidly becoming central to consumer technology, Meta believes smart glasses represent one of the most natural ways to integrate artificial intelligence into daily life by providing users with an always-available assistant that understands the world from their perspective.
