Apple Arcade Expands Lineup with Award-Winning Titles

New Additions Strengthen Apple Arcade’s Premium Offering

Tech giant Apple has announced a fresh wave of content coming to Apple Arcade, reinforcing its position as a leading subscription-based gaming platform. Beginning April 2, the service will introduce three acclaimed titles — DREDGE+, Unpacking+, and My Very Hungry Caterpillar+ as part of its expanding catalog of over 200 family-friendly games.

Apple Arcade continues to distinguish itself with an uninterrupted gaming experience, offering users access to its full library without ads or in-app purchases.

DREDGE+ Headlines April Releases

Leading the new additions is DREDGE+, the 2025 App Store Awards’ iPad Game of the Year. The atmospheric fishing adventure arrives as a complete edition, featuring all previously released downloadable content, including The Pale Reach, The Iron Rig, and Blackstone Key. Players are invited into a mysterious maritime world where exploration, treasure hunting, and hidden dangers beneath the ocean surface drive the experience.

Unpacking+ Brings Storytelling Through Simplicity

Also joining the platform is Unpacking+, a 2023 App Store Awards Cultural Impact winner. The meditative puzzle game transforms everyday tasks into storytelling, allowing players to unpack belongings and organize living spaces while uncovering the narrative of a character’s life journey. Its blend of relaxation and emotional depth has made it a standout indie title.

A Family Favourite Comes to Life

Rounding out the April releases is My Very Hungry Caterpillar+, inspired by the beloved creation of Eric Carle. Designed for younger audiences and families, the interactive game allows players to care for and nurture a caterpillar as it grows, eventually transforming into a butterfly. The title builds on the legacy of one of the world’s most cherished children’s stories.

Star Wars-Inspired Update Lands in March

Ahead of the April rollout, Apple Arcade will introduce a major update to Disney SpellStruck on March 19. The update brings new Adventure Mode levels inspired by Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, alongside iconic playable characters such as Darth Vader and Lando Calrissian.

Puyo Puyo Celebrates 35 Years

Further updates arrive on April 9, when Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop marks the 35th anniversary of the Puyo Puyo franchise. The celebration introduces a new mode titled Puyo Puyo Garden, allowing players to grow and battle with their own customised Puyo characters — a first for the long-running series.

Subscription Details and Availability

Apple Arcade is priced at $6.99 per month in the U.S., with a one-month free trial available. The service is also included in Apple One plans, offering bundled access across Apple’s ecosystem. Subscribers can enjoy the platform across multiple devices, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro, with support for family sharing of up to six users.
