Samsung Expands AI-Powered Smartphone Lineup

Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled its latest mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G, marking a significant step in the company’s push to democratize artificial intelligence across its device ecosystem.

The new Galaxy A series devices introduce enhanced “Awesome Intelligence,” Samsung’s evolving AI suite designed to simplify everyday mobile experiences while boosting creativity and productivity. The launch reflects the company’s broader ambition to bring advanced AI capabilities to a wider global audience, beyond its premium flagship devices.

Speaking on the announcement, TM Roh, CEO and Head of Device eXperience (DX) at Samsung Electronics, emphasized the company’s focus on accessibility. He noted that the latest Galaxy A series combines Samsung’s core technological strengths with enriched AI features to deliver reliable, intuitive performance for everyday users.

AI at the Core of Everyday Use

Running on the latest One UI 8.5, both devices introduce a range of AI-powered tools aimed at improving efficiency. A standout addition is Voice Transcription, which converts recordings from meetings, lectures, or calls into text, even translating them when needed. Meanwhile, AI Select enables users to extract or interact with on-screen content more seamlessly, including drag-and-drop functionality across apps.

Samsung has also upgraded its virtual assistants. An enhanced Bixby allows for more natural voice control of device settings, while Gemini supports more complex, cross-app tasks, signaling deeper integration between Samsung and Google’s AI ecosystems.

Creative tools have also received a boost. Features like Object Eraser now offer more natural edits, while Best Face helps perfect group photos by selecting the best expressions. Additional tools such as Auto Trim simplify video editing, and Circle to Search introduces multi-object recognition for richer search experiences directly from images.

Camera and Imaging Enhancements

Both devices feature a versatile triple-camera system led by a 50MP main sensor, delivering improved image clarity across various lighting conditions. Enhanced Nightography ensures better low-light photography, while AI-powered scene optimization helps maintain natural skin tones and balanced compositions.

The Galaxy A57 5G further distinguishes itself with improved image processing, faster shutter speeds, and enhanced detail rendering, making it the most advanced camera system in the A series to date.

Performance, Design and Durability

The Galaxy A57 5G combines upgraded CPU, GPU, and NPU performance with a slimmer, more refined design. It features a 5,000mAh battery capable of lasting up to two days, along with fast charging that reaches 60% in approximately 30 minutes. A larger vapor chamber improves thermal management during intensive tasks like gaming and video recording.

Both devices offer immersive viewing experiences through large Super AMOLED displays with up to 120Hz refresh rates and Vision Booster technology, ensuring clarity even in bright outdoor conditions.

Durability is another key focus, with IP68-rated water and dust resistance providing added protection for everyday use.

Long-Term Support and Security

Samsung continues to emphasize longevity, offering up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, alongside six years of security updates. The devices are also protected by Samsung Knox Vault, a hardware-based security platform designed to safeguard sensitive data.

Additional features such as the Security & Privacy Dashboard, Auto Blocker, and the newly introduced Private Album give users greater control over their personal information, while proactive Privacy Alerts help identify potential risks in real time.

Availability

The Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G will be available in select markets starting April 10, with a variety of color options tailored to different user preferences. Samsung also offers Samsung Care+ for extended device protection and support.
