Strategic Collaboration to Advance AI Adoption on the Continent
Cassava Technologies (Cassava), a global technology leader of African heritage, has announced a strategic collaboration with Accenture (NYSE: ACN) to accelerate the development and deployment of sovereign AI solutions across Africa.
Leveraging AI Refinery and GPUaaS
Accenture will bring its AI Refinery™ platform and advanced technologies to design and deliver sovereign AI solutions powered by Cassava’s GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS). The infrastructure, housed in Cassava’s secure data centres and supported by NVIDIA AI, will allow African businesses to process AI workloads and data within national borders in line with local regulatory requirements.
Phased Rollout Across Key African Markets
The initiative will first launch in South Africa, before expanding into Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, and Nigeria. Cassava plans to use its pan-African, high-speed, ultra-low-latency fibre broadband network to interconnect its energy-efficient data centres and power AI computing workloads at scale.
