In celebration of Women’s Month, Huawei South Africa is proud to announce the launch of its Women4Tech digital skills training programme.
This groundbreaking initiative is specifically designed to support women entrepreneurs by enhancing their digital capabilities and advancing their businesses through innovative technology.
The Women4Tech programme is a free online course aimed at empowering savvy, tech-forward women entrepreneurs. The training consists of three comprehensive modules: Cloud Computing, Digital Marketing for Business Success, and App Development.
The programme also offers a unique networking opportunity with award-winning app developers within the Huawei Mobile App ecosystem and other successful women entrepreneurs.
“This Women’s Month, we are excited to introduce this transformative campaign,”
says Vanashree Govender, Media & Communications Manager at Huawei South Africa.
“Our goal is to make women fundamentally more competitive in the digital economy. Women entrepreneurs and women-owned micro businesses play a crucial role in South African society and the broader economy. The Women4Tech programme is tailored to support these businesses through ICT knowledge sharing, digital transformation, and business growth.”
Participants will gain access to a free six-month Huawei Cloud subscription, which will further facilitate their journey into digital transformation.
The Digital Marketing course, an essential component of the training, will be led by Musa Kalenga, a renowned entrepreneur, investor, and author.
Kalenga emphasizes the significance of digital marketing in today’s consumer landscape:
“Over the last decade, consumer behavior has drastically evolved, and technology has redefined how we engage with consumers. Digital marketing allows businesses to track, monitor, and optimize their communication strategies to effectively reach and convert consumers.”
Women entrepreneurs interested in the Women4Tech programme are encouraged to apply. Selection will be based on various criteria, including the readiness to integrate new technologies into their business practices. Interested candidates must complete a brief application form, and those selected will be contacted with further details.
Huawei South Africa’s Women4Tech initiative represents a significant step towards fostering digital innovation and supporting the growth of women-led businesses in the country.
