Ericsson Welcomes New Senior VP for Middle East & Africa

Ericsson has appointed Patrick Johansson as Senior Vice President and Head of the Middle East and Africa Market Area (MMEA).

Mr. Johansson, who is currently Ericsson’s Head of Business Control & Operations, will replace Fadi Pharaon, who resigned in May 2024. Starting August 1, 2024, he will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, replacing Pharaon.

Patrick Johansson has considerable experience in numerous business areas and markets, having resided in Sweden, Korea, India, Austria, China, and Vietnam since joining Ericsson in 1997. His prior roles included Global Head of Sales and Commercial Management for Business Area Networks and Head of Customer Unit Korea, as well as several executive positions in finance and business.
