Jacaranda FM announces free-to-stream festive concert

The annual SPAR Carols by Candlelight presented by Jacaranda FM is doing things a little differently this year. “No long bathroom queues, glass and bottles are encouraged, and the best part – you can dress in your comfy PJ’s as we’re live-streaming an incredible line-up to your home, and public event rules don’t apply.” Says Deirdre King – Jacaranda FM Managing Director.

The concert is still free, but SPAR and Jacaranda FM are asking everyone to dig deep this year. All funds raised through digital donations will ensure that the Good Morning Angels team can gift vulnerable children across South Africa news toys of their own. “Last year the event gathered 125 giant boxes of toys and R80 000 that reached children from six homes across South Africa,” adds King.

In true Good Morning Angels spirit, the event also collected 25 boxes of flood relief supplies for the Mamelodi residence who suffered from the 2019 flash floods. It goes without saying that 2020 could do with the hope and gees that this event creates each year – I hope South Africa will join us in making this year’s event the biggest yet.” Says Martin Bester, Jacaranda FM Breakfast Drive Presenter.
