Apple has officially rolled out its latest generation of devices, with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max leading a new product lineup that arrived at Apple Store locations around the world on Friday, 18 September.
The launch also saw the retail debut of the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5, giving customers their first opportunity to experience Apple’s newest hardware in stores.
Apple welcomes customers for global launch
Apple Stores worldwide marked the arrival of the new products with customers visiting locations to get their hands on the devices, while Apple team members provided demonstrations, personalised shopping assistance and introductions to the new lineup.
In New York City, Apple executives John Ternus, Deirdre O’Brien and Greg Joswiak joined employees at Apple Fifth Avenue to welcome customers during the launch.
The appearance of senior Apple executives at the flagship store formed part of the company’s traditional retail push around the release of its biggest new products.
iPhone 18 Pro headlines Apple’s latest lineup
At the centre of the rollout are the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which represent Apple’s latest premium smartphone offerings.
The new phones arrive alongside the Apple Watch Series 12 and the more rugged Apple Watch Ultra 4, expanding Apple’s wearable range for customers with different lifestyle and fitness requirements.
AirPods 5 complete the new hardware lineup, bringing another generation of Apple’s hugely popular wireless earphones to market.
Apple pushes in-store and online shopping options
While Apple Stores remain an important part of major product launches, the company is also giving customers several ways to purchase and explore the latest devices.
Customers can shop through Apple’s website and Apple Store app in addition to physical stores.
Apple Specialists are also available to help customers trade in eligible older devices through Apple Trade In, explore available payment options and carrier offers, and set up newly purchased products through Apple’s Personal Setup service.
New hardware strengthens Apple ecosystem
The simultaneous arrival of new iPhones, Apple Watches and AirPods highlights Apple’s continued strategy of building an interconnected hardware ecosystem rather than positioning each device purely as a standalone product.
