Apple Arcade is giving Sneaky Sasquatch fans even more reasons to get mischievous, unveiling an exclusive crossover with Subway Surfers+ alongside a major birdwatching update and a new collection of birthday-themed Messages stickers.
The collaboration brings together two popular gaming worlds, transforming Subway Surfers+ with locations, characters and visual elements inspired by Sneaky Sasquatch.
Sneaky Sasquatch Takes Over Subway Surfers+
Available from 27 August through 7 October, the limited-time crossover reimagines the world of Subway Surfers+ through the quirky aesthetic of Sneaky Sasquatch.
Players will be able to unlock four character skins and two unique hoverboards while racing through a redesigned level inspired by locations from Sasquatch Valley.
The familiar Subway Surfers gold coins have also been replaced by raccoon coins, while the game’s security guard swaps his traditional appearance for a ranger disguise.
The crossover is available exclusively through Apple Arcade.
Apple Celebrates One of Arcade’s Most Popular Games
Apple says the collaboration reflects the strong community that has developed around Sneaky Sasquatch since the game’s arrival on Apple Arcade.
“Sneaky Sasquatch is the most beloved game on Apple Arcade and has had one of the most passionate communities of players since day 1,” said Alex Rofman, Apple’s senior director of Apple Arcade.
“This exclusive crossover with Subway Surfers+ and the new birdwatching update are just the latest ways players can enjoy Sneaky Sasquatch, with more awesome updates planned for the game over the coming months.”
Birdwatching Adventure Arrives September 17
The crossover isn’t the only major development coming to the game.
On 17 September, Sneaky Sasquatch will introduce birdwatching, expanding an already extensive collection of activities that includes skiing, car racing and even working as a doctor.
More than 30 bird species will be introduced throughout the game’s world for players to discover and photograph.
Players can take photographs of the birds and deliver them to the game’s birder, allowing each sighting to be logged in a bird database while earning rewards.
Photography Skills Will Matter
Finding a bird won’t necessarily be enough to earn top marks.
Photographs will be graded according to their composition and subject quality, adding another layer of challenge to the new activity.
Players can also receive bonuses for photographing rare birds, recording a species for the first time or managing to capture multiple birds in a single shot.
The feature adds another exploration-driven element to Sneaky Sasquatch’s open world, encouraging players to search different environments for new species.
Birthday Stickers Join Messages
Apple is also celebrating Sneaky Sasquatch’s birthday with a new collection of Messages stickers.
Available now, the pack includes 11 festive designs featuring Sasquatch and builds on the previously released sticker collection centred around silly expressions and campground antics.
More Sneaky Sasquatch Updates Are Coming
The announcements signal that Apple still has significant plans for Sneaky Sasquatch.
Beyond the Subway Surfers+ collaboration and September’s birdwatching expansion, Rofman confirmed that additional updates are planned over the coming months.
Apple Arcade currently offers a catalogue of more than 200 games, with Arcade Originals playable across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro.
In the US, the service costs $6.99 per month following a one-month free trial, while customers purchasing an eligible new Apple device can receive three months of Apple Arcade at no additional cost.
