Samsung Electronics has announced the expansion of its Certified Re-Newed (CRN) program to select European markets, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainability while making its flagship Galaxy devices more accessible to consumers. The initiative offers high-quality renewed smartphones backed by Samsung’s own certification, aligning with the company’s broader push toward a circular economy.

Trusted Quality Standards Behind Every Device
Beginning with the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung is rolling out Certified Re-Newed Galaxy flagship devices in Germany and the UK, alongside Refurbished Premium by Samsung (Reconditionné Premium par Samsung) offerings in France.
Each Certified Re-Newed device undergoes a comprehensive in-house inspection and refurbishment process, including rigorous cleaning and more than 100 quality tests. In France, Germany and the UK, only top-grade returned products qualify for the CRN process, ensuring consistent quality across all devices. Samsung uses genuine parts to restore each smartphone, bringing it up to the company’s performance and aesthetic standards.
As part of the refurbishment process, all devices are fully reset to remove personal data and are sold in a condition equivalent to a brand-new device. Once restored, CRN devices are packaged in new, recyclable boxes and include the same in-box items as new Galaxy smartphones.
New-Device Assurance, Re-Newed Value
Unlike many third-party refurbished or second-hand options, Samsung’s Certified Re-Newed devices come with the same warranty as new Galaxy devices. In France, Germany and the UK, the devices are also issued new IMEI numbers and updated with the latest software to ensure long-term security and usability.
Samsung confirmed that the Certified Re-Newed program will continue to expand into additional markets, guided by consumer demand and local needs.

The Galaxy S25 Certified Re-Newed, Galaxy S25+ Certified Re-Newed and Galaxy S25 Ultra Certified Re-Newed are now available exclusively via Samsung.com in select markets.
