Nina Saeed is the CEO & Co-Founder of Alsoug.com

Alsoug was founded in 2016 by Tarneem (Nina) Saeed. The company is headquartered in Bahri, Khartoum, Sudan. Alsoug has nearly two million downloads, lets Sudanese consumers and businesses buy and sell any goods and services they need. Listing’s include real estate, cars, electronics, and furniture, as well as services and job postings.

Alsoug operates a payment service provider, Cashi, that enables users to pay for goods and services including utility bills, airtime top-up and government education services.

Alsoug has raised $5M in a Seed funding on Oct 12, 2021. The round was co-led by Egypt-based Fawry and wider consortium of Western venture capital firms.

When we started building alsoug.com, we were already looking to the future, and so when sanctions were lifted, alsoug was already well-established and ready to drive exponential growth. Now, with an open economy and an exciting emerging tech scene, we are doing just that – building on our alsoug marketplace platform and creating a new digital payments solution, Cashi, to benefit all Sudanese.
