Adventurely Lands $100K From Google to Grow Products

Adventurely lands $100K from Google to grow products as well as services for digital nomads. Adventurely and their mission is to connect digital nomads (slow traveling remote workers) to each other and their new local communities with thoughtfulness around sustainability and local impact just got a big boost from Google.

We are thrilled and deeply honored to announce that Adventurely was one of 50 startups this year selected by Google to receive a $100,000 USD cash award via the Google For Startups Black Founders Fund!

Says Adventurely.

About Google for Startups Black Founders Fund

The Google for Startups Black Founders Fund provides non-dilutive cash awards to Black led startups that have participated in their programs or have been nominated by their partner community or a previous recipient. Selected founders receive $100,000 in capital along with Google Cloud credits and hands-on support to help their startup grow.

Why is Google Doing this?

In the U.S., less than one percent of venture capital goes to Black founders.

Over the past two years, the Google for Startups Black Founders Fund has provided $10M in cash awards and support to promising Black founders in the US.

The investments have created a halo effect by helping founders raise over $139M in additional venture capital in the US. With this momentum, Google for Startups has scaled the fund to support Black-led startups in Brazil, Africa, and Europe

Google is uniquely positioned to provide capital and support to help founders grow their businesses, and in turn, create space for founders to thrive and create greater impact for their community.

What this Means for Adventurely, Digital Nomadism, the Future of Work, & the Future of Travel!

It means the world to the Adventurely team to have Google, the biggest name in Tech, support and back us financially for the growth of our products and services to serve the digital nomad market! It also means a significant moment for the digital nomad market in general.

No longer a mere niche following, digital nomadism has now gone mainstream, as millions of businesses around the world adopted fully remote or hybrid/part-time remote work policies, in addition to “work from anywhere” policies.

Google itself has publicly shared their hybrid remote work policy where Googlers are able to temporarily work from a location other than their main office for up to 4 weeks per year with manager approval.

As our Founder, Mita Carriman has coined and often shared, we deeply believe that “the future of work is the future of travel” and we’re excited for what the future holds for us as we continue to grow!
