Oyoyo offers its users around the world access to a wide range of professional designers, tailors and weavers who are based in Nigeria. Another great benefit that users stand to gain when using Oyoyo is having their measurements digitally recorded and which helps tailors view their records on the go. The Oyoyo app which is set to revolutionize the Nigerian fashion industry is the brainchild of Catwalk Creatives Limited, a sister company of Lassod Consulting.
“This is an exciting time for Catwalk Creatives and Lassod as Oyoyo is the first of our products to launch in Nigeria. I feel very proud that an idea I had a couple of years ago is now coming to fruition. Using visual technology in a very accessible way as a digital marketplace, Oyoyo will showcase local talent on both the national and international stage.”
said Executive Chair, Lanre Sanni at the launch of Oyoyo.
Oyoyo is supported by a leadership team that is based in Nigeria and the UK, Lindsay Burham-Lowes, Chief Executive Officer and Faith Olaniran, Intern.
Mr. Sanni also disclosed,
“As most of the development has taken place over the past 12 months, the pandemic has proved that despite the distance of the teams, we all have a common goal to succeed. The impact Oyoyo will have on the fashion industry in Nigeria is substantial and opens up new opportunities which previously were impossible.”
“As well as building the core team, the company has recently undertaken a recruitment program implementing a digital marketing team and a business development team. The company is keen to extend this further and offers a comprehensive internship program to develop talent in the region.”
Lanre Sanni explained,
“It is our mission to create sustainable commercial opportunities through recruitment and technical innovation in Nigeria and the wider African continent. I know there is a wealth of talent and we have ambitious plans to utilize those skills.”
How it works
- On opening the Oyoyo lookbook, you get to familiarize yourself with varieties of styles from different users and with an interface that kept you in mind when the app was designed. Here, all your fashion mood is cared for, nurtured, and also brought to life. Also, the app interface is very user-friendly, easy to navigate with ease of use for anyone with almost zero digital skills.
- As a tailor/artisan/weaver, direct communication matters when relating with your client. The ease of communication has been simplified by Oyoyo developers, as the app features a chat section, where all communications are saved for future reference.
- Besides, as a designer, you can modify a client’s record anywhere, any time, in a more user-friendly interface. Typically, gaining access to clients who deserve your experience and professionalism as a fashion designer/weaver could be somehow challenging. However, with the Oyoyo app’s help, tailors/weavers would have exclusive access to clients who are ready for your services. More so, you get to set up a digital profile where fashionistas come to check your previous and present design work.
- The exclusive attractiveness show based on Oyoyo helps promote African fashion designers’ further undoubtedly designs and creativity to the global world. Here on the Oyoyo app, modern styles that would be continually updated with fascinating and beautiful patterns from tailors and fashionistas would keep you updated and entertained day in and day out.
