Audiomack is deepening its commitment to South Africa, building on an established presence in one of the world’s most influential and fast-moving music markets.
South Africa has long been an important part of Audiomack’s global music ecosystem. From Amapiano, Maskandi and 3-Step to hip-hop, R&B, Afropop and the many sounds emerging from across the country, Audiomack has continued to create spaces for South African artists to be discovered, heard and celebrated by audiences both locally and around the world.
That commitment is reflected in Audiomack’s growing portfolio of South African-focused playlists, including Hometown Heroes: South Africa; Afro House; New Releases: Amapiano; and SA Hip Hop. Together, these playlists give fans dedicated spaces to discover established names, emerging artists and the next generation of Mzansi talent across the country’s diverse musical landscape.
The platform has also continued to put South African artists at the centre of its discovery ecosystem. In 2026, artists including Sjava, Mawelele, Naledi Aphiwe, Lordkez, DJ Lag, Babalwa M and Jazzwrld have received editorial support and attention across Audiomack’s playlists and artist discovery initiatives.
Sjava received support from Audiomack around his latest album, Inkanyezi NeZinkanyezi, while Mawelele, Naledi Aphiwe and Lordkez were recognised as part of Audiomack African Artists to Watch 2026 selection, further highlighting the platform’s focus on identifying and supporting artists shaping the future of African music.
Additionally, in late 2025, Audiomack launched a dedicated Zulu music campaign, spotlighting the breadth and diversity of Zulu music across genres including Maskandi, Gqom, Afropop and Hip-Hop.
At the centre of the campaign was a collection of playlists designed to give different expressions of Zulu music their own space on the platform. These included iSginci, dedicated to Maskandi; iGqom, spotlighting Gqom; and iSizwe SakwaZulu, bringing together a broader mix of Zulu music across genres in one destination.
The campaign featured artists including Zee Nxumalo, Khuzani, Aubrey Qwana and Umlabalaba, giving fans an opportunity to discover both established voices and artists pushing Zulu music forward.
Beyond playlists and campaigns, Audiomack has continued to show up for South African artists and the culture around them – supporting moments such as DBN Gogo 24hrs Set, partnering with Elaine for Soft Girl Sundae, and creating opportunities for local artists to connect with new audiences through the platform.
“South Africa has always been one of the most exciting music markets in the world,” said Charlotte Bwana, Vice President Marketing, Audiomack. “We have seen incredible artists use Audiomack to build audiences, reach new listeners and share their music with the world. Our commitment is about continuing to invest in that ecosystem and making sure that the artists shaping the next generation of South African music have a platform that sees them, supports them and helps them get discovered.”
That commitment is also now being brought to life through Umculo Ohamba Nawe (Music That Moves With You), an exciting campaign developed in partnership with Sebenza Wi-Fi.
Rather than simply telling South Africans about Audiomack, the campaign celebrates the everyday moments in which music already plays a central role – from the daily commute and taxi rides to discovering a new favourite artist, sharing music with friends and building playlists for every mood.
As Audiomack continues to deepen its presence in South Africa, the platform will build on its work with artists, fans and cultural partners through more local storytelling, music discovery initiatives and partnerships designed to support the people shaping the country’s sound.
“South African music has never stayed in one place,” added Bwana. “It moves from city to city, from artist to fan, from the studio to the taxi, and from South Africa to the rest of the world. Audiomack is there for that journey.”
Music lovers can download Audiomack from their mobile app stores and discover the latest South African sounds, playlists and artists on the platform.
