Norwegian technology company reMarkable has officially unveiled the Paper Pure, a next-generation digital paper tablet designed for people who want the simplicity of pen and paper with the convenience of modern digital tools. Launched on 6 May 2026, the device succeeds the long-running reMarkable 2 and introduces meaningful performance upgrades while maintaining the company’s minimalist philosophy.
A Digital Notebook That Prioritises Focus
Unlike traditional tablets filled with apps, notifications and social media, the reMarkable Paper Pure is built specifically for writing, reading and annotating documents. The 10.3-inch monochrome E Ink display recreates the feel of writing on paper, making it an attractive option for professionals, students, journalists and creatives looking to minimise digital distractions.
Faster, Lighter and More Capable
The Paper Pure introduces several notable hardware improvements over its predecessor. The device features a more powerful processor, delivering up to twice the performance when navigating documents and turning pages. Storage has been expanded from 8GB on the reMarkable 2 to 32GB, while battery life has increased to as much as three weeks on a single charge under typical usage.
