Cassava Technologies, a global technology leader of African heritage, has unveiled the Cassava AI Multi-Model Exchange (CAIMEx) — a pioneering platform that gives Africa’s mobile network operators (MNOs) seamless access to the world’s most powerful artificial intelligence (AI) tools and large language models (LLMs).
Described as a “one-stop shop” for AI, CAIMEx integrates leading models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others, eliminating the need for complex integrations or costly infrastructure. Through a single, easy-to-use interface managed locally by Cassava, African operators can now deploy advanced AI capabilities to serve both subscribers and businesses more effectively.

CAIMEx currently supports Anthropic’s Claude models, Google’s Gemini models, and other global AI frameworks. The platform enables mobile operators to select models best suited to their needs — whether for real-time intelligence, advanced reasoning, or ethical, trusted decision-making. Applications range from enhancing customer service and automating operations to enabling innovative digital experiences powered by AI.
A key differentiator of CAIMEx is its focus on data sovereignty. All services are hosted within Cassava’s regional AI factories across Africa, ensuring that data remains on the continent and complies with local privacy and protection regulations.
