Android users can now access the Apple TV app for the first time, as Apple officially launches its streaming platform on Android mobile devices. The app is available for download via Google Play and works across Android phones, tablets, and foldable devices, giving users access to Apple TV+ and the MLS Season Pass.
This move marks a significant expansion for Apple’s streaming services, allowing Android users worldwide to enjoy hit Apple Original series and films, including Severance, The Morning Show, Ted Lasso, CODA, and Killers of the Flower Moon.
The Apple TV app on Android has been designed from the ground up to provide a smooth, familiar experience. Users can subscribe to Apple TV+ and MLS Season Pass directly through their Google Play accounts, with Apple TV+ offering a seven-day free trial for new subscribers. The app also features Continue Watching and Watchlist tools, seamless streaming over Wi-Fi or mobile data, and offline viewing options.
Just in Time for the MLS Season
With Major League Soccer’s 2025 season set to kick off on February 22, Android users can now access MLS Season Pass through the Apple TV app. The service provides every MLS match with no blackouts, along with exclusive content, expert analysis, and in-depth coverage of all 30 clubs.
Apple TV+ also continues to expand its sports offerings, including Friday Night Baseball, a weekly double-header with no local broadcast restrictions. New for 2025, the service is introducing Sunday Night Soccer, a primetime showcase of the best MLS matchups each week.
