Wired4Women Tech Forum Opens Nominations for 2025

The Wired4Women Tech Forum has officially launched nominations for its annual awards programme, celebrating outstanding women in South Africa’s technology industry. The prestigious awards, held in partnership with ITWeb Brainstorm, aim to recognise female excellence, encourage greater participation in the tech space, and provide inspiring role models for future generations.

Winners will be announced at a highly anticipated awards ceremony in April 2025, where industry leaders, innovators, and rising stars will be recognised for their contributions to the sector.

Shining a Spotlight on Women in Tech

The Wired4Women Awards highlight the impact that women have across various sectors of technology—from leading CIOs to entrepreneurs and students on the brink of their careers. The awards not only celebrate individual achievements but also showcase how women are shaping the South African economy through technology.

With 13 categories, the awards cover leadership, entrepreneurship, business acumen, community impact, and talent, ensuring a broad and inclusive representation of women in tech.

Award Categories and Nominations

Nominations are open until 14 February 2025, and women excelling in the following categories can be put forward:

  6. Tech4Good – Highlighting initiatives using technology for social impact.
  7. IT Business Development Executive – Recognising top performers in ICT channel management.
  8. Rising Star – Security – Celebrating young cybersecurity professionals making an impact.
  9. Rising Star – Cloud – Honouring young talents excelling in cloud technology.
  10. Rising Star – Emerging Tech – Recognising professionals leading in cutting-edge technologies.
  11. Top Tech Student – Showcasing an outstanding ICT student excelling academically and in leadership.
  12. Mentor of the Year – Recognising senior tech professionals who have guided and nurtured talent.
  13. Trailblazing Career in ICT – Honouring a seasoned professional whose career has made a lasting impact.
